The quality assurance system applies to Universities and AFAM Institutions, including their respective branches, which are required to demonstrate compliance with the initial accreditation requirements to be authorized to operate, as well as the periodic assessment requirements to ensure the continuity of their activities and guarantee continuous improvement.
The evaluation protocols and procedures of ANVUR, as established by ministerial regulations and in alignment with international standards, require compliance with specific criteria, which are assessed by expert panels appointed by the Agency. The verification process involves the analysis of documentation requested from the institutions and the conduct of on-site or remote visits.
Based on the reports prepared by the expert panels, the Agency’s Governing Board issues its decision regarding the initial or periodic accreditation of the institution. The Agency’s resolution is then transmitted to the institution concerned and to the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR) for the formal adoption of the accreditation or non-accreditation decision.
