Higher Education evaluation experts

ANVUR relies on Italian and international Experts with specific expertise in the fields relevant to the individual evaluation activities. In line with the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area and with the directives of the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR), the Agency operates in compliance with the principles of independence, impartiality, transparency, cost-effectiveness, and participation.

Experts are identified through public calls and a selection process managed by ANVUR. Selected candidates undertake specific training programmes and are required to pass tests developed by the Agency in order to remain listed in the Register. Experts included in the Register are appointed to Evaluation Expert Panels (PEV) and Evaluation Expert Commissions (CEV) for the initial and periodic accreditation of Universities, AFAM Institutions, and Schools of Advanced Studies (CEVS).

To promote greater interaction and consistency between the university system and the AFAM system, ANVUR has introduced the opportunity for university professors to register as disciplinary evaluation Experts in the AFAM Register. Similarly, teaching staff from AFAM institutions may apply to become disciplinary evaluation Experts in the AVA Register, dedicated to Universities and Study Programmes.

The Transparent Administration portal regularly publishes notices regarding the application procedures.
