Summary
The d.p.r. 76/2010 (art. 4, c. 2) provides that ANVUR shall make publicly available the results of its analyses and evaluations, ensuring that the institutions concerned have the opportunity to request, on a reasoned basis, for one time and on the basis of procedures governed by the regulations referred to in Article 12, paragraph 4, letter a), the review of the evaluation reports approved by the Agency.
For that purpose, with art. 16 of the Regulation on the organization and operation of ANVUR (Adopted by Resolution of the Governing Board No. 25 of 10/08/2022 and entered 20/05/2022), a special Guarantee Committee has been established, composed of three components external to the Agency, adequately representative of the subjects assessed, according to procedures defined by the Board of Directors and in compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).

The Guarantee Committee shall decide on the requests for review made by Universities and AFAM Institutions as part of the initial and periodic accreditation procedures against the negative final evaluation measures, decided by the Governing Board of ANVUR (also taking into account any counter-deductions proposed by the institution involved) and transmitted to the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR). In those circumstances, the Institution may request a review of the measure by lodging a reasoned request, for a single time and within 10 days of receipt of the negative final decision. Following the submission of the request for review, the Guarantee Committee carries out the necessary examination, following which it communicates to the Governing Board its reasoned decision on the admissibility or otherwise of the request. In case of eligibility, the Committee may propose:
Once the opinion of the Guarantee Committee has been obtained, the Governing Board shall communicate the outcome to the Institution concerned, within 45 days of receipt of the request for review.
