Periodic assessment

The periodic assessment of AFAM institutions consists of verifying, for both the institution's main campus and its academic diploma programmes, the continued compliance with the requirements that led to the initial accreditation.

Currently, ANVUR manages the periodic assessment of private AFAM institutions and the decentralised campuses of state AFAM institutions. In both cases, the evaluation takes place at the end of the second year following initial accreditation, which granted the institution authorisation from the Ministry of Universities and Research (MUR) to award legally recognised qualifications. Further evaluations occur at the end of the fifth year of activity and subsequently at least every five years.

For the periodic assessment of state AFAM institutions, ANVUR has launched a Pilot Project, based on a new set of standards and a specific procedure.

For the evaluation of state-funded AFAM institutions, ANVUR, at the request of the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), assesses the adequacy of financial, infrastructural, and human resources in relation to the educational provision and student population during the first three years following their incorporation into the state system.
