For the initial accreditation of School of Advanced Studies , ANVUR, with the support of expert committees predominantly composed of international members, assesses the following accreditation requirements through specific evaluation protocolo:
- Residential facilities: Availability of adequate residential structures for students.
- Educational and scientific facilities: Adequate classrooms, libraries, and laboratories.
- Economic and financial sustainability: Indicators of financial sustainability, debt levels, and personnel expenses.
- Teaching: Agreements with accredited universities, provision of supplementary teaching, and training hours for pre-doctoral and doctoral students.
- Faculty: Student-to-faculty ratio and minimum number of research staff.
- Students: Admission selection procedures and minimum number of enrolled students.
- Services offered: Tutoring programs, mobility funding, and scholarships for doctoral students.
The evaluation follows specific procedures and concludes with the approval of a Report drafted by the Commission, highlighting the school's strengths and areas for improvement in preparation for periodic accreditation. The evaluation outcome results in either an accreditation or non-accreditation decision.
