Initial accreditation

For the initial accreditation of School of Advanced Studies , ANVUR, with the support of expert committees predominantly composed of international members, assesses the following accreditation requirements through specific evaluation protocolo:

  • Residential facilities: Availability of adequate residential structures for students.
  • Educational and scientific facilities: Adequate classrooms, libraries, and laboratories.
  • Economic and financial sustainability: Indicators of financial sustainability, debt levels, and personnel expenses.
  • Teaching: Agreements with accredited universities, provision of supplementary teaching, and training hours for pre-doctoral and doctoral students.
  • Faculty: Student-to-faculty ratio and minimum number of research staff.
  • Students: Admission selection procedures and minimum number of enrolled students.
  • Services offered: Tutoring programs, mobility funding, and scholarships for doctoral students.

The evaluation follows specific procedures and concludes with the approval of a Report drafted by the Commission, highlighting the school's strengths and areas for improvement in preparation for periodic accreditation. The evaluation outcome results in either an accreditation or non-accreditation decision.
