National WGs

ANVUR participates in and promotes various thematic working groups dedicated to exploring specific areas of interest related to the university and research system. These groups, composed of experts, representatives from academic institutions, and professionals, address strategic topics aimed at enhancing the efficiency and quality of the education system, aligning with the needs of students, institutions, and society.

Disability, Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), and access to Higher Education
Established in 2019, with the goal of analyzing and improving services for students with disabilities and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) in Italian universities, the Working Group (GdL) conducted a national survey in 2020. A questionnaire was administered to collect data on services, interventions, and initiatives aimed at promoting inclusion, autonomy, and well-being for students with disabilities and SLD.

The Working Group concluded its activities with the adoption of the report:
“Students with Disabilities and SLD in Italian Universities – A Resource to Value.”
Recognition and enhancement of University teaching competencies
Established in 2021, with the aim of developing tools and strategies to enhance the quality of university teaching and recognize the professional role of faculty, the Working Group (GdL) analyzed existing faculty training programs in many Italian universities. It also defined standards and competency profiles to improve teaching quality and identified incentives and reward mechanisms for faculty engaged in professional development pathways.

The Working Group concluded its activities with the adoption of the Guidelines for the "Recognition and Enhancement of University Teaching", approved in August 2023.
